About the studio

A small studio with a long view.

Founded in Dhaka in 2013, Limo Interior BD is an interior design and architecture practice working across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects throughout Bangladesh and beyond.

Our story

Begun at a kitchen table.
Built one room at a time.

Limo Rahman started the studio after a decade in architecture, drawn to the human, intimate scale of interiors — the way a doorway, a chair, a wash of evening light can shape a whole day.

What began as a single apartment in Banani has grown into a practice that has shaped over 140 homes, workplaces and small hotels — always with the same ear for quiet, the same patience for craft.

We are deliberately small. Each project is led personally; each detail is drawn, sourced and reviewed by the people whose names appear on the door.

Philosophy

Four ideas we keep coming back to.

01

Restraint

We design by removal as much as addition. The strongest rooms are quiet ones.

02

Material honesty

Stone, oak, linen, brass — chosen for how they age, not how they look new.

03

Considered light

Every plan begins with a study of how light moves through the space.

04

Local craft

We build long relationships with Bangladeshi makers and joiners.

The team

Designers, architects, makers.

A close-knit team of twelve, working under one roof in Banani, Dhaka.

Have a space in mind?

We take on a small number of projects each year. The earliest conversations are always the best ones.
